This time, we will hold a series of exhibitions commemorating the publication of the Constitution of Japan.
This book introduces all 103 articles of the Constitution along with 69 masterpieces of post-war art, and has become a long-selling book that allows you to read about the Constitution of Japan, along with other representative works of post-war Japan, such as art, manga, photography, and movies.
In this exhibition, “The Constitution of Japan”, inspired by this book, 28 new works from various fields will be selected and combined with the articles to form a three-dimensional space.
In order to make this exhibition an annual event on The Constitution Day, the first edition will be held at three venues: MUJIN-TO Production, AOYAMA | MEGURO, and JUNKUDO Bookstore Ikebukuro.

*This exhibition will also feature a memorial display for the late Shuji Shimamoto, editor of the book “Nihonkoku Kenpo” (The Constitution of Japan) (TAC Publishing Co., Ltd.). Mr. Shuji Shimamoto was the editor in charge of the best-selling book “Nihonkoku Kenpo” (The Constitution of Japan) (Shogakukan Inc.), which sold over 1 million copies when it was first released in 1982.

Photographer. Born in 1962 in New York City, USA. In 1993, he completed a Master’s program in Photography at the University of Houston. He is currently Professor and Chair of the Department of Photography at Indiana University, Ruth H. Hall School of Art. He lives in the United States.
Nakagawa began seriously pursuing photography in the 1980s and, from the 1990s onward, has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions worldwide. Drawing on his identity spanning both Japan and the United States, he has produced and presented a wide range of works.
Major solo exhibitions include: Windows: 1989–1999 (Houston Center for Photography, 2000); Banta: Imprinted Memories (Sakima Museum of Art, Ginza Nikon Salon, 2009–2010); a solo exhibition at the 2012 Arles Festival of Photography Discovery Award; Okinawa, Okinawa/OKINAWA (Kyoto University of Art and Design, 2013); Kai/廻, 1998–2018 (Sepia Eye Gallery, New York, 2018), among others. He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions and his work is held in multiple collections.
Born in 1936, Machida. Graduated from Tama Art University with oil painting major. Worked for Hokkai Times (Hokkaido) as an art reporter. 1962 University of Wisconsin Graduate School, 1964 University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Fine Arts. 1968 taught at Tama Art University. 1971 returned to the US and taught at the University of Pennsylvania. 2010 passed away in New York during his solo exhibition at the Machida City Museum of Graphic Arts.

Born in 1987 in Tottori prefecture and currently lives in Tokyo. Finished his M.A. at Tokyo University of Arts(MAD artist practice). Create sculptures and videos with 3D data that he makes from enormous amounts of pictures on the internet. He uses wealth inequality or excessive emphasis on productivity and exclusion of humanity as themes and uses sculptures and videos as mediums to express the distortion and dilemma of modern society.
Born in Toyama Prefecture in 1981, lives and works in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. Graduated from the Visual Design Course, Nagaoka Institute of Design. MFA, Oil Painting, Hiroshima City University.

Born in 1976, Kanazawa, Japan. Graduated from The Photography Department, Parsons School of Design | The New School, NYC. He won the 39th Kimura Ihei Award in 2014, for intimacy. Mori has an expanded and varied practice that includes photography, performance as well as sound installation, videos, drawings, poems and short stories, traversing across different forms of expression. He continues his endeavor towards creating a big wave by reverberating and amassing “small waves” - marginalized small voices and existence that can rattle stereotypes and norms. Born 1970 in Saitama, Japan. Ogino graduated from the School of Political Science and Economy at Meiji University and completed the B-semi Learning System program. Ogino creates paintings using color layers while examining the relationship between color and form.
